PPC Celebrates Our Nation’s 250th Birthday

June-July	The historic cemetery wall, with the plaque describing its historical significance, will be repaired and freshly painted. John Coats is heading this effort. 

June-Onward     The Cemetery Team will solicit donations and apply for grants to make needed repairs on the gravestones in our historic cemetery. Volunteers will be invited to help with parts of this project. Jeff Renoe is chairing this team, and Nancy Mason is heading up grants and fundraising.   

June 21            Heritage Sunday.  Rev. Nancy Mikoski will lead the service, highlighting PPC’s history and God’s faithfulness over the centuries.

July 19              Rev. Dr. Gordon Mikoski will preach on Presbyterian pastor John Witherspoon, the only pastor to sign the Declaration of Independence, and the role and witness of Presbyterians in the founding of our nation

Fall TBD	Michael Borgos, Gordon Mikoski and others will co-lead the Adult Education Class on the United States Constitution and traces of Presbyterian theology and commitments found there.

November 18	The Hopewell Valley Historical Society will hold a public event in our sanctuary in celebration of our community’s role in the founding of our country.
