From the opening to the close of worship, music guides us through praise, prayer, scripture and thanksgiving. The congregation participates with the choir in singing hymns and responses from a variety of styles and time periods, reminding us that we join in musical praise with people from different churches and cultures throughout the world.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir is a multigenerational group (high school students to older adults) of dedicated singers who lead us musically in worship every week September through June. They rehearse on Thursday evenings, 8:00-9:15 p.m. and on Sundays at 9:30 a.m.  Choir members who are not able to attend on Thursday evenings come at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays to prepare for that morning’s service. We strive to make participation possible even for the occasional singers who travel and can’t be available on a weekly basis.

Bell Choir

The Handbell Choir welcomes men and women of varied experience to join them in rehearsal on Thursday evenings, 6:45-8:00 p.m. They play about once a month in worship and occasionally accompany the Choir and congregation on anthems and hymns.

Children’s Choirs

The Gloria Deo Choir, grades 6-12, rehearses on Thursday evenings, 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m in the Sanctuary. This choir sings once a month in worship and presents a musical each year in the spring.

The Genesis Choir, grades 2-5, rehearses on Sundays at 6:30 pm in Upper Titus. This choir sings once a month in worship and joins the older Gloria Deo Choir for  the spring musical.

The Cherub Choir, 4 year olds to 1st grade, rehearses on Sunday mornings during the worship service. This age group stays in worship until just before the sermon through Time with Children, and then leaves to participate in Cherub Choir. They return to their parents for the close of worship. This choir sings frequently in worship with special presentations for Christmas and Palm Sunday.
